We stayed here recently for one night and we had the best time. The location was perfect. We were so close to the pier and facing the beach. It was a very spacious room with an en suite shower room. Bedding was clean and lovely white towels for each of us. Coffee and tea facilities and biscuits were provided. The windows were beautiful victorian style. We got free parking in a perfect are near to shops and restaurants and the beach. Breakfast was served fresh and you could have as much toast, tea, coffee and fruit juice as you like. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you to all the staff fir excellent serviceX

My friends and I recently stayed here for the weekend during the scooter rally. We could not fault it. Amazing stay and all the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant The Goat is beautiful and the rooms quite spacious. Sade was very helpful in our next booking as we loved it so much. If I had to fault anything it would literally be the carpet in corridor which doesn't reflect on our stay at all. Thank you for everything and we will see you in March

Currently staying at the Esplanade and it’s 12:51am and the room is stifling hot. (Third floor heat rises) room 309 I am 7 months pregnant and in 2 minds whether to drive home as we have another night booked here and I’ve currently not slept a wink. Earlier this evening I asked for an extra fan which the lovely lady on reception gave us but unfortunately has made no difference to the heat in room. Plus the noise off them both is horrendous. No air is coming in through the sea view window that can only be open a little. Just gone down to reception and no one is on there until the morning. There is a lovely gentleman who seems to be looking after the bar area and said he will speak to the manager first thing. If we can be moved or the heating can be turned off I will update review. Location fab. Room clean. Great shower. Comfy bed Such a shame about the heating being on especially when we have been spoiled this past week with a summer **** update… we have been moved rooms to room 109 and have complimentary breakfast. Room clean. Comfy bed great night sleep. Shower scolding hot and cold at same time no dial to adjust. (Such a shame but needs fixing) Breakfast lovely Thank you to the great staff, much appreciated.

This hotel is in a great location, literally a 2 minute walk from the pier. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and were brilliant with my 6 year old daughter. There is some limited parking at the rear of the hotel for guests at no extra charge but the spaces are limited so I would archive l advise arriving early to secure a space. The breakfast was lovely with a good fresh continental and the usual cooked options from the kitchen. The only let down for me was the room; it was very clean but felt like it needed a refresh, the carpet was a bit threadbare in places and the walls are in desperate need of repainting. I would still recommend this hotel for the excellent service and location, and the room was clean, just tired. If the rooms were redecorated with new carpets and maybe some new furniture this would be a 5 star review.

Fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful. Receptionists could not do enough for us. Managed to upgrade to Seaview at an extra cost but worth the view. Rooms very clean with tea/coffee facilities. Toilet and shower immaculate. Top floor rooms very hot at night no option to turn down heating. Maybe in cooler nights! Good access to carpark at rear but arrive early to ensure a space.

Five stars for staff and location! The staff could not have been more friendly, accomodating and helpful. They offered help with getting to and from the room and even thought to reserve me a breakfast table that my wheelchair would easily get under. These things make a huge difference to disabled guests feeling welcome rather than an inconvenience. We didn't pay for a sea view room but our room still had a really beautiful view. Beds were comfortable. The room was pretty basic, but spacious. All of the rooms in this hotel are accessible for a wheelchair user in that there is a lift to all floors, and all rooms have a wet room rather than a bath/shower situation. There are things missing, for example grab rails and emergency pull cords, but the rooms aren't listed as specifically accessible rooms on the website so I guess this is why. The cooked veggie breakfast was really delicious. They also offer a vegan breakfast as well as standard cooked breakfasts, buttermilk pancakes, cereals, toast, yogurt and juices. We used the hotels car park situated directly behind the hotel. This is where the accessible entrance is situated, with ramps, as the front entrance is accessible only by a flight of steps. It was very packed and difficult to manoeuvre but this cannot be helped. It was a really sunny day and the beach was heaving! The WiFi was intermittent, only basic TV channels, and the dvd player was broken. We would definitely return for the staff and the location!

Really nice hotel, lovely staff all had smiling faces, didn't dine there but enjoyed a drink in the bar area, our room was larger than we expected walk in large shower comfortable beds and everywhere spotless. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the floor in our room was uneven, so there was a large gap at the bottom of the door , but i suppose with the building being so old can't be helped,I would definitely recommend the hotel and we will be staying there again in the future.
